1321. FORD MUSTANG. Randy Leffingwell 1995. Beautifully photographed book from acknowledged Mustang expert. Detailed history of the car from 1962 concept to 1990s versions including lots on the Shelby cars with a good balance of technical facts and anecdotes. period ads and even toys are also covered. Hardback in superb condition with dustwrapper in protective sleeve. 10 x 10in pp.192   £30
1302.    STIRLING MOSS. "A Portrait of Britain's Greatest Racing Driver".  Riverside Records Sports Car Special (RLP 5004) re-issued a few years back as an audio CD. A long (50 min) interview with Stirling  a couple of days after his victory in the 1956 Nassau Trophy Race. The original LP sleeve notes are reproduced.  £15

1301.    CARROLL SHELBY. "The Career Of A Great American Driver".   1957 Riverside Records Sports Car Special (RLP 5006) re-issued a few years back as an audio CD. This takes the form of an interview covering all aspects of "Shel's" Career. Approx. 51 min long. The original LP sleeve notes are reproduced.  £15

1278.    CHEVROLET  1965.  "The Beautiful shapes for 1965"  Factory brochure for the range including  the Chevrolet, Chevelle, Corvair, Chevy II and Corvette. Full colour photographs and artwork showing the models and their variants (convertibles, station wagons etc.)  The cover and a couple of sample pages shown here. 1270.    ROLLS-ROYCE & BENTLEY.  A LIVING TRADITION. 1958.  Lavish presentation book on "The Background Story of Current Rolls-Royce and Bentley Motor Cars"  by Col. J. R. Buckley.  Text concentrates on the traditional high standards of engineering and craftsmanship at Crewe. Pen and wash illustrations throughout and a line drawing of a contemporary Rolls on the endpapers. Hardback with superb dustwrapper, presented in a decorative slip case. 9in x 9in. pp.35   £75
1261.     MOTOR. SVENSKA AUTOMOBILKLUBBENS OFFICIELLA ORGAN 1906.   A pair of copies of the Swedish Automobile Club magazine which appears to have been weekly. Each is a single sheet quarter folded to make 8 pages 7in x 10.5in Issue no. 1 contains  Darraq, Salmson and Star photos, the motor show in Madison Square  New York, plus technical articles etc.  Issue 35 contains detailed plans for building a motorised hydroplaning speedboat -not bad for 1906.  As a pair;  £25
1257.    JAGUAR DRIVER'S YEARBOOK 1979-80.  Edited by Paul Skilleter, this Jaguar Driver's Club annual contains features on the major meetings of the year, articles on such topics as a racing XK120 and V12 Engineer Claude Baily.  Also race results, a "Jaguar Identifile" of chassis numbers of all models, plus directories of suppliers etc. Lots of photos, some in colour. Hardback in good condition with slightly rubbed dustwrapper. 8.5in x 12in pp.120. £20
1255.    BRDC DIAMOND JUBILEE BOOK "Pole Position" 1987  Similar format to the silver Jubilee book of 1952 (see item no.1156 below) this has a series of articles by high profile authors such as Cyril Posthumus, Denis Jenkinson, John Cobb, Richard Noble, Doug Nye et al on club history, British motorsport, the ERA and Williams teams, the Land Speed Record (including an account of Thrust 2's success in bringing the record back to Britain) , rules, awards, trophies etc. etc. terrific photos from recent events and the archives. 1248.   THE ROYAL ROAD Robert Allan. 1946. A history of road transport in Britain concentrating on the carriers. Unusual photographs show a wide variety of specialist heavy transporters, particularly military vehicles carrying large Aircraft sections, Tanks and Mulberry Harbours (shown here) etc. Hardback with dustwrapper which is intact but rather rubbed around the edges now. one small tear repaired with tape. 5in x 7.5in pp.192   £12
1247.    ADAC/ NURBURGRING 1000km 1964  Commemorative plaque celebrating "10 Jahre Int ADAC 1000km Rennen 1964. Gold coloured metal with bas-relief scene of some kind of winged racing goddess overlooking a racing scene. Distinctive Nurburgring castle tower on hill in background. 1242.    TRANSPORT MUSEUMS. Jack Simmons. 1970 first edition. Collection of reviews of automotive, aviation and railway museums both in Britain and the rest of Western Europe. 1236.    GLANZVOLLE ALTE AUTOZEIT. Beautiful book on early cars  with great glossy Julius Weitmann photographs on virtually every other page. Daimler, Mercedes, Maybach etc. feature heavily but all the thoroughbreds such as Bugatti, Rolls Royce and Hispano Suiza are here. Some unusual things too, such as the Rumpler Tropfenwagen of 1921 which looks like an airship gondola on wheels. German text.
